OKIS Excels in 2025 Lions International District 418 Peace Poster Contest

December 08, 2025

The event, held on Friday, 21st November 2025, at the Art Gallery of Professor Ablade Glover inside the Artists Alliance Gallery, featured 32 exceptional artworks submitted by Lions Clubs across Accra, Tema, and Kumasi.

OKIS students distinguished themselves throughout the adjudication process. Two student artworks advanced to the top ten, with one artwork progressing to the top three—a testament to the school’s growing artistic excellence and the creativity of its learners.

According to the panel of four judges, one judge ranked the artwork by Excel Enyedi Kanu Williams in first place, while the others placed it between second and third. This resulted in Excel securing a strong and commendable overall third-place finish in the district, an achievement that reflects his creativity, talent, and dedication.

The Tema Community 25 Lions Club expressed its appreciation to Oxford Kingdom International School for this outstanding achievement and commended the dedication of the art teachers whose guidance and commitment contributed greatly to the students’ success.

The Lions Club further highlighted the school’s promising potential and expressed confidence that, with continued collaboration and lessons from this year’s contest, OKIS is well positioned to achieve the top spot in future competitions.
